Not my favourite of the series but still well worth reading

Anything Stephen King does is well written so this book gets three stars simply for that. However IMO it's the least of the trilogy - I just felt this was a little thin compared to the other two. The second book had another story with other characters involved which made it a bit more chunky and I would have like this one to have something of the same too. It also had much more supernatural aspects to it than the others and I was quite enjoying the hardboiled detective theme with no fancy additions.
Having said all that, it's still very enjoyable, with a nice return of the three likeable main characters. I like the direction Stephen's muse seems to be leading him in lately.
