A new genre - main character needs more development
12 January 2019
This novel is intriguing most of the time; how the main character is going to get out of all killings he committed? However, it’s a hardly believable story because it’s too much of good luck coincidence and it felt like all people around him were blind.. or too busy with themselves. Joe is a monster you can’t really hate, someone like Dexter, although the author hasn’t really explained what traumatic experience made Joe to become a serial killer. In my opinion, the main character was not developed deeply enough to explain why he deals with difficulties in such a terrible way. The book also ends abruptly so we don’t know for real if Joe got away with all murders or he will be sentenced for life?
