Don't be fobbed off by corporate media, the ideas in this book will provide you with more affluence than the broken systems we currently adhere to. Imagine a society where everyone made product choices based upon the social economic and ecological responsibilities of competing manufacturers. Imagine a society where all corporations that refused to contribute taxes would have their assets seized and their charters revoked. Think how different things would be if all companies had to share profits among employees. If nurses, teachers and rescue service professionals were rewarded properly. Where former servicemen and women were looked after and our police forces were not wasting time on petty drug laws. The ideas proposed within this book will create a better world for us all once implemented. Russell Brand has researched these ideas well and you duty is to back him up.
Recently, I have found Russell Brand to be the only public figure I can relate to when it comes down to world politics and the awakening of consciousness. After watching his interview with Paxton and a fan-made compilation ('the awakened man) his words resonated with me on a level that no other ever has (certainly politicians). This book contains information on how differently our society could work 'post revolution' and why it is necessary in our time. Brand has done his homework and put together ideas from great minds across the globe all working towards the same goal, a better, fairer system for everyone. As an author he tends to veer off erratically at times, usually in a comic way which gives a lighthearted touch to some of the serious issues he addresses. Overall I found the book engaging and informative, it is probably a biased opinion though as I was already sold on a revolutionary concept before reading!
Never mind the raw language Russell Brand uses at times, this is an articulate and searing indictment of the corruption and blindness endemic in our rapidly changing world. Through the rescue story of his own life, told in layman's terms, he charts an awakening that led him to an understanding of the need and the possibilities for change that might alter the dangerous course we are currently traversing. I found most of it thought provoking and inspiring, and yes, entertaining too. I urge you to read it.
Fabulous book with some real and achievable ideas. Love the writing style, very funny but intellectual at the same time. This book is full of optimism and genuine care for the world. I wish everyone could read it! Loved it and would read it again.
Russell's propensity to verbosity and his wit is absolutely top-notch and we need more people like him to aspire and stir the minds for a revolution. Great book!! And hope y'all like the heading of this review ;)
