Broken Halo contains everything I really enjoy in a romance - single parent, second chance romance, dual POV, and that little bit of suspense running through the storyline that makes you wonder what exactly is going to happen next.
Emotional turmoil probably best describes what Ellie and Trig have gone through, both in the past and the present. Their relationship has been plagued by misunderstandings, tension, frustration, love, hate, grief and loss, decisions made in haste, the impact of lost time - talk about putting my heart through the wringer!
I really loved how all the plot twists came together to a rather epic conclusion that somehow managed to tie everything all in together. Broken Halo was a great read, I'm pretty excited about who I think the next main female character will be in The Montgomerys #3.
This second chance romance has fast become my favourite of Brynne Asher. It sucked me and took me on a roller coaster of suspense, angst and hotness. Ellie and Trig are meant for each but they were torn apart by adult who were up to no good or thought they knew better. Years later they are thrown together and as much as she doesn't want too , Ellie's life is spiralling out of control -someone is out to get her and she need Trig more than ever. The banter and chemistry between these two is electric and very entertaining but your heart will break for what they had to go through. Fantastically written that will keep you reading well into the night
Get this one from Brynne Asher on your TBR today!!! I just binged it & it’s sooo great. Like seriously freaking great!! 😍😍
Great pace Fantastic dialogue Believable characters Serious chemistry Genuine feelings and just the right amount of pain Plenty of sweet & funny moments An epilogue that had me smiling like a loon while quietly sniffling
5 stars! This book was a bit of everything and I just adored it. It broke my heart, put it back together and everything in between! Second chance romances are normally my least favourite trope but this book may have just changed my mind! One of my top reads of 2019 and tied with Athica Lane for my favourite Brynne Asher book, I couldn’t put it down. I already can’t wait to read it again!
Trig and Ellie were just perfect for one another. I really fell for Trig. This is a second chance love story with some suspense thrown in, family drama’s galore and a sweet little baby boy Griffin. It took a long while for these two to kiss and make up but boy, when they did 🔥it was worth the wait.
It’s a second chance romance done well. Usually second chance romance tends to annoy me. In this case, the reason for the (10yr) separation was legit and the resolution wasn’t bad either. The characters were well written and the plot line was good.
