To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I was expecting this to be a lot more light-hearted, off the cuff - and although I definitely read it in Ron Swanson's voice, with cocked eyebrows emphasising my need to understand, it's very honest and sensible. I'm 26% through, so kindle tells me, as I don't get a lot of time to read, but having Nick on my phone whenever I get a spare moment is proving very inspiring.
It's just a shame I couldn't add a few stars to my score - it definitely exceeds expectations thus far.
Impossible not to read in his voice. Highly recommend a glass of something pleasant and to sit and read it like he's spinning you a tale over a few drinks. Loved it - funny, engaging, and every now and then the man has a damn point.
Whether your a Parks and Rec fan, or a woodworker, or just someone who has any sense of humor at all, you'll love this book. Offerman has such fantastic tales to tell, mixing the poignant with the hilarious, and throwing in a few life lessons that everyone can learn from too.
Entertaining, full of meaning and partly autobiographical; this book is a must-have for any man at any stage of his life where he is considering change or adding new elements to his life must read this: it is about bravery, it is about being a real person, it is about being a MAN. Fantastic read.
So me and my friend are both fans of Nick Offerman. I bought this as his birthday gift, I read it myself and it's a good read. If you are a man, like to read and you like manly things, this is the book for you.
