I really enjoyed this book! Really great story with two strong characters who learn and grow together. The story of Roselyn and Kyle had more wit and humour than Elliot's story did (even though it was a dramatic tale) - the author has a real way with words that I really appreciate, easily letting you imagine scenes vividly - as per the following two examples:
I understood exactly how she felt here and couldn't wait to read how the scene played on out - "She had made a bad situation worse. She flopped onto her back and pulled the coverlet high, to hide from the flotsam of the shipwreck she had no doubt just made of this marriage."
and in this scene just the one short sentence said it all and had me laughing right in the middle of all the drama - "With one sharp glance he commanded a comfortable chair in the ballroom to empty of its current rump."
