A book by a craftsman.

I, too, join the many reviewers rating this book as a five star. It held my interest throughout especially early on as it was written in a different vein from the previous books I had read during the last month. The ending did all that one could wish for - explanations for why so many events had occurred, a tidying up of loose ends with the promise of another tale to look forward to. The difficult life of Spensa was gradually revealed from that of a child to a combat pilot. This expertly written book gave the reader glimpses into what had gone wrong for Spensa's father whom she'd idolized and provided the answers in the ending. Very highly recommended.
