This is a hard book to read. The emotion is raw as the author details her struggle with cancer, and with well-meaning people.
Even if you cannot read the whole book, you should read the appendices in which the author lists what to do and say, and what not to do and say where dealing with people struggling with cancer.
The author confronts the contradictions between the promises of the prosperity gospel and her lived experiences. The former proclaims that good things will accrue to good people, and bad things to bad people. She examines these claims through her journey in the treatment of her cancer, and found them to be wanting.
