An oldie but a goodie. This 'new edition' is from back in 2005 and so doesn't spend a lot of time on all the new-fangled varieties in vogue today. I took a star off for the fact that half or more of Oct/Nov (the parts I've focused on since it arrived, yesterday) focus on 'native garden' plants whereas the book is marketed as having more of a veggie/herb garden focus. As an almanac it's pretty good (although it could be more specific in terms of helpful gardening hints) but if your'e looking for more in depth sections on each type (or each group) of plant you're better off with the "Yates Garden Guide" (44th Edition, available at the Australia Post website with free shipping) as of October/2019 or The Complete Book of Vegetables, Herbs and Fruit in Australia by Biggs and McVicar (the latter is more than a bit over-priced as an ebook here on Kindle).
