Wow, this book packs quite the emotional punch towards the end - Eliza who is described as shy, weird and friendless, has created another world for herself online where she is the creator of Monstrous sea, a webcomic that has a massive following. However, she is the anonymous creator, happy to be invisible, living her quiet life where she shys away from people and social interaction. The introduction of Wallace into the story sees Eliza slowly being drawn out and experiencing more to life with Wallace and his friends.
Reading about her world falling apart was hard after her secret is accidentally shared. For me, probably the last 1/4 of the book was the hardest part to read, but also the most powerful part of the story. I couldn't help but feel anxious for her as I was reading this section in the story. This was a really enjoyable book to read, I loved it.
