These trousers are actually LONG - (not 32"!!!), I'm an awkward 35" leg and these trousers fit perfectly! I'm also somewhere between a UK size 8 and 10 and these trousers in size 6 are just right.
The only thing that is holding me back from a 5* review is the pockets...the side pockets on these trousers are not very deep which is something I've got used to having on men's trousers - it would be great if prAna could come up with tall active-wear trousers for women with large pockets! *hint hint*
His pants had nice, deep pockets.
These do not. I have a Samsung S7 and none of the pockets on these pants will hold it. They are supposed to be hiking pants, but you cannot put any of your gear in them. I cannot even fit my hand inside the front pockets. It is ridiculous.
The pants themselves fit a tiny bit big, and the tall is nice and long. The quality is great, and aside from the lack of practicality, they are good pants.
They just don't function well in comparison to the men's pants, and I am sad to see this company has fallen into the trap of giving women's pants pockets that are 1/10th the capacity of their male counterparts.
I won't buy them again, but I can't knock the quality. It is so disappointing to buy pants that are nice but have such a huge design flaw.
I'll be honest here: I have a hard time finding pants that fit because I have a small waist compared to my big, muscular butt and thighs. I only wear leggings and jeggings, otherwise if my pants fit my lower body, I have a big gap in my lower back, and when I crouch, half my a** is hanging out. Not a cute look...until I put these on.
These pants have a wide waistband that sits just above the hips. To ensure that they stay put, there's a drawstring inside! Genius! They're slightly higher at the back than at the front, and they passed the crouch test! The pockets on the butt are properly placed (it's a thing, trust me), making these pants super flattering. The length is perfect on me (short inseam, I'm 5'6" with short legs).
The material is not too thick (making them too hot for summer) or too thin (making them pointless for cool weather), and has a nice stretch to it, making fun stuff like walking and moving around possible and comfortable. Crazy, I know! They slightly flare below the knee, making them fall nicely over shoes. The discreet snap buttons give you the option of rolling them up. If you get the proper inseam length, they'll work perfect.
Some previous reviewer complained about the front pockets being too small to put stuff in... They're not cargo pants, nor do they pretend to be.
Cons (same as old pair): hip pockets are still tiny you can barely put your hands in, legs very wide and with the stretch they may be a hindrance on the mountains, I'll be cutting off the straps for rolling up the legs (the straps are pretty ridiculous they only roll up the last 4 inches of pant), and I'll be cutting off the last inch or so of leg as the regular inseam is too long for my 5'6 self, and the drawstring on the inside the belt area i took out, it didnt do anything except get stuck in the zipper when i put them on.
Flattering on the butt. Stretchy and tough. I own 7 pairs of different colors and in 2 sizes. Sz 2 for warmer weather and sz 4 for fitting long johns in winter. I train monthly for search and rescue and performs searches in thick brush, long grass, slushy/salty roads, muddy fields and my oldest pairs (approx 3 yrs) still look new.
If they keep coming out with new colors I'll keep buying!
So soft and comfortable!!
I am 5'11 , 160 pounds. Ordered a size 10 . Perfect fit and the length is great. I rolled them up once just so they sit on my shoe. Pockets are perfect for golf ball and tees. I will buy another!!
Hope this helps someone who wants a pair for the same purpose!!
