Over 28 years of experience developing & improving our unique, patented, & approved Swim Diaper
i play. is the original reusable Swim Diaper manufacturer and has a patented three-layer design (U.S. Pat. No. 7,678,094). The wicking liner helps prevent diaper rash, the inner absorbent layer helps protect against messes outside the pool, and the waterproof outer layer works with the snug-fitting waist and legs to provide secure protection from unsanitary and embarrassing accidents in the pool. No other diaper necessary!

|Mess Protection||i play. Swimsuit Diapers fit snugly to prevent accidents from leaking into the pool and our patented absorbent layer protects against accidents outside of the pool, without getting bulky when wet.||One-size fits all swim diapers usually consist of a thin, waterproof layer with multiple snap options for babies aged newborn to four-years-old. Depending on your child's development, these may not always create a secure, comfortable fit.||Single-layer swim diapers usually consist of a thin, waterproof layer with specific sizing to ensure a snug fit. Many options only have two snaps, which could cause leakage in the water.||Disposable swim diapers usually come in three sizes, with velcro tape closures or pull-up styles.||Leg and waist band swim diapers are made from a waterproof material, with tight and wide bands to hold mess securely.|
|Comfort||i play. Swimsuit Diapers are designed from the baby's perspective with comfort seams, soft material, and a wicking liner to prevent diaper rash. They are trim and lightweight for freedom of movement.||One-size fits all swim diapers have numerous snaps on the inside and outside that may cause discomfort against baby's delicate skin. Additionally, for younger babies, the extra fabric may feel bulky.||Single-layer swim diapers are usually a trim, lightweight design. However, they usually do not have comfort seams.||Disposable swim diapers feel very similar to regular, disposable diapers. Some may consider disposable diapers to be bulkier when wet than reusable diapers.||Leg and waist band swim diapers are made from a think, neoprene fabric that may be bundlesome for smaller babies.|
|Convenience||i play. Swimsuit Diapers have durable side snaps for easy on-and-off, are machine washable, and simple to coordinate with i play. Sun Wear and accessories.||One-size fits all swim diapers require less purchases and are usually machine washable. However, they may be difficult to put on a squirming baby, if you aren't familiar with the snap options.||Single-layer swim diapers are usually a simple, pull-up design, although some companies may offer snaps. They are usually machine washable.||Disposable diapers are widely considered the most convenient option because they are easy to throw away after use. However, they require more frequent purchases and create waste.||Leg and waist band swim diapers are available in pull-up style only, and are usually hand-wash only. However, some companies offer a disposable liner that you can throw away after use.|
|Value||i play. Swimsuit Diapers are moderately priced at $13 and are designed to be both a functional swim diaper and a stylish swimsuit, all in one. Use and re-use all season long!||One-size fits all swim diapers are usually intended to fit from newborn to four-years-old. However, due to product wear-and-tear and changes in your little one's interests, you may end up purchasing multiple over the years.||Single-layer swim diapers vary in quality and can usually be purchased at a medium price point. Use and re-use all season long!||Disposable diapers must be thrown away after each use, costing you more money over time and creating more waste.||Leg and waist band swim diapers are usually higher in quality and construction, but are also higher in price point.|
|Style||i play. offers a wide selection of trendy swim wear styles and makes it easy to mix and match! Swim diapers are also built into tanksuits and trunks, and a white swim diaper is available to pair with a swimsuit of your choice.||One-size fits all swim diapers vary in available prints and styles. However, they all have snaps (usually upwards of 16!) on the front and back of the diaper. Additionally, for younger babies, the extra fabric may feel bulky.||Single-layer swim diapers can be found in multiple prints and sold colors, and some companies may also sell coordinating accessories.||Disposable diapers are usually designed to be worn underneath a standard swimsuit and do not have coordinating accessories or prints.||Leg and waist band swim diapers can be found in multiple prints and solid colors, and some companies may sell swimsuits and trunks as well.|

Mothers pioneering healthy & safe baby products since 1982
"More than 40 years ago, I was introduced to a holistic way of understanding the world that has profoundly influenced how I have raised my children. Back then, words like organic and locally grown were neither mainstream nor commonplace. Today, happily, parents have a myriad of choices for keeping their children healthy. I relied on these principles as I raised my two daughters and as I founded my company." —Becky Cannon, Founder and President of green sprouts and i play., and Author of Grow Healthy. Grow Happy. The Whole Baby Guide
Today, Becky, Emi, and Mari are the mother-daughter owners of green sprouts and i play., and continue to focus on creating the best baby products. What started as one mail-order item has grown into an offering of hundreds of natural baby products. A lot has happened in the last three decades, but one thing has never changed: the commitment to the health and happiness of babies through every stage of development.

Most helpful customer reviews on Amazon.com
By reading the reviews, I sized up and that was wise. My son is now 10 months old and the 12 months size that I bought for him is already getting rather tight.
The design is really cute and I bought a matching hat as well, which funnily enough, is large. However, you can tighten the hat so it's not a big deal.
The point is...
If you are buying the DIAPER, SIZE UP.
If you are buying the HAT, SIZE DOWN.
Once you get a size that actually fits, the diaper appears to work well, but has yet to be challenged by a "full load."
