Product description

Oogiebear - The Safe Baby Nasal Booger and Ear Cleaner

How we got our start:

oogiebear was invented by a mother and registered pharmacist with a doctorate degree after enduring several cold and flu seasons with her three children. She created oogiebear after realizing that there were no other baby booger removers available to help parents get rid of their babies dry, crusty, stubborn boogies.

Why oogiebear:

Dried-up crusty boogers can disrupt babies' regular breathing or interrupt their sleep, and tacky ear wax buildup can cause discomfort. oogiebear allows parents to safely remove them both and restore air flow while simultaneously soothing their baby.

What makes oogiebear unique:

oogiebear is the only two-in-one baby nose and baby ear cleaner available, which makes it a baby gadget must have. The ears on the patented bearhead design act as a safety device so that it never goes in too far or pushes ear wax and mucous further into tiny noses and ears.

Remove boogies like a pro:

  1. Use the scoop end to gently scrape away dry snot or hard ear wax.
  2. Use the patented curved loop end to pull out sticky mucous.
  3. Clean, store and reuse again.

Why moms and dads love oogiebear:

oogiebear is an award-winning medical device made of BPA-free and latex-free materials that allows parents to quickly and efficiently clean their infant's tiny nose and ears at home or away without worrying about causing discomfort or pain.

Keep your baby happy and reduce your carbon footprint:

oogiebear is reusable and will as long as your baby needs it. It replaces disposable cotton swabs and wipes and doesn't require saline like conventional nasal aspirators or syringe bulbs.

1.0 out of 5 stars Good lord , do not buy into this... 🙅🙅🙅

This is an OVER-PRICED device that doesn't even perform better than a Q-tip. Seriously, the poor new parents (like myself) that will get suckered into buying this unnecessary, expensive thing. Please believe me, just use a Q-tip. This is by no means "safer" or "better.” Another “must have” item to swindle more new parents to spend their hard earned money.

I thought this device was going to be made with soft silicone tips. I thought it would act like a version of an ear wax curette, but soft and for a baby's nose. The hooks on the ends are HARD and not flexible... unless you really want to use force and bend the hard plastic. The hooks have seams that a should have been smoothed out, but instead they left the rough edges. There's no advantage to this product over a Q-tip. It isn't any more maneuverable in a baby's nose and it gives you less visibility when inside the nose. Both pose the same risks when inserted into the nose. You still have to be just as extra careful and gentle with both devices... but at least a Qtip has a softer tip. The bear head is their “safety feature” to stop you from inserting the stick too far. If you make sure you pinch the Qtip with your fingers right below the cotton part of the Qtip, you fingers can also act as this safety barrier (revolutionary!). Yet another baby “invention” to take the place of something you likely already have in your household.

I have noted that boogies will cling onto a dry Q-tip A LOT better in comparison to this device (especially if you make the cotton tip a bit wispy with your fingers). And a wet Q-tip can help soften a hardened booger, then a dry one can grab it (saline spray also helps wet dry boogers). Seriously, save your money. My mother laughed when she saw that I bought this (I couldn't bare to tell her what I spent on it 😣💸). Also, baby tolerates Qtips over this device so much better (no rough edges). I found myself having to do a lot more “fishing around” in the nose with the boogie ear than I do with Qtips. There's a lot of baby items out there that are so unnecessary, and this is one of them. I hope I at least helped one person decide to save $20 😂🙌🏼 I'm embarrassed I bought into this. If this was something like $5 (like it should be) I would say, "sure, give it a try if you're curious." However, the price they're charging for a small piece of plastic is shameful. The amount of materials used to make this item compared to the price charged to consumers is greed at its finest. If you’re a new parent, be careful of all the baby gimmicks marketed to prey on your inexperience. Baby is now almost 2 years old, and I can still tell you that a Qtip is performing better than this plastic stick 🤦‍♀️

***If you buy this and plan to use it in baby’s nose and ears, please be careful about cross contamination that could be concern for increased risk of ear infection. The nose can carry bacteria that shouldn’t make contact with baby’s ear.***

5.0 out of 5 stars A real mom telling you It works!!

I know the picture is a bit gross, but this is seriously the best investment ever for parents with babies that struggle with crusty or sticky boogers! And, so I wanted to include a picture to prove it!

My baby constantly has boogers in her nose & always sounded like she had a hard time breathing because of it. So, as an “over-worrier” type mom I’ve thoroughly researched & bought just about every booger tool there is - the booger sucker with a tube, the bulb, qtips, etc., you name it! Yes those things would work to some degree, but always with great struggle, fussing, & crying. Just not worth all the time & effort for little results & upsetting my baby.

With the oogiebear I literally did a couple of quick & easy swipes & boom, nose cleared! I couldn’t believe how many boogies came out! My baby didn’t fuss, didn’t cry & to be honest didn’t really even seem to mind. I’m so happy to finally have found something that works! I feel as though I can breathe better myself when my baby can as well haha. Money well spent & mind at ease.

Don't need to spend lots of money on a fancy nasal sucky thingy... This thing works absolutely great (if you can get it past baby trying to eat it in the process 😂!)
Highly recommend :D
