good but you need a teacher as well

This is the coursebook for courses at the Instituto Cervantes (Elementary 3 and 4) where, of course, you have a teacher. It's got varied content and is interesting as well as having lots of grammar and vocabulary. It's written completely in Spanish, so isn't really a "teach yourself" book unless you want a real challenge and , in any case, there are probably better ones if you want to do this. So, for its purpose it's great but maybe not the best for a person trying to learn Spanish by themselves.

I have this book as part of a course I am doing. The reason I have given it 4 star and not 5 is that you will really struggle if you are not on a course. It is all in Soanish and there are no answers to the exercises in the book itself - they are in the teacher book. The book itself is very good.

I'm looking forward to working with this book but only on Chapter 1 so far. Book One was really good and I positively enjoyed learning with it. Each 'Unit' has a theme and several ways of working with that theme, e.g. Listening, exercises, grammatical points, reading, understanding, and so on. I bought the English version for book One but this second book is totally in Spanish so more demanding, which is appropriate as one progresses. It arrived promptly and I am pleased with my purchase.
