Long time Moment lens user primarily for the v2 wide angle and v2 fisheye lens. They both worked great on my iPhone 7 Plus with Moment phone case. When my iPhone 7 Plus mysteriously died I upgraded to the iPhone XR and bought this Moment lens case for it.
The lens now require much more force to mount on this case compared to the 7 Plus case. So much so I feel like I'm going to break something. You know that feeling that something just isn't right and you should stop? That's just about how it feels every time I mount a lens on this case. I tried taking the phone out of the case fearing I was rubbing on my phone lens but that doesn't appear to be the case. Even with no phone in the case the lens are still tough to mount.
The fisheye now vignettes in the left corners for still photography which it never did on the 7 Plus rendering the fisheye useless to me. Time to search for a new fisheye. The 18 wide angle lens also requires greater force to install on this iPhone XR case but at least it doesn't vignette. The v2 Tele 60 lens behaves the same way mounting it on this case but I'm not a huge fan of that lens due to it's inherent distortion that Moment attempts to pass off as bokeh.
The case itself is very similar to my old 7 Plus Moment case. I had always liked the way that felt in my hand and I'm glad that hasn't changed significantly.
I'm disappointed with the fisheye vignetting but at least the 18 wide angle v2 still works ok.
Drop it. We dare you. Our Photo Case brings the best of a camera (subtle grip, attachable lenses, and a strap) and combines it with the traditions of a super rugged case...all without the bulk. Designed by the photographers at Moment this case is meant to be used. A lot. The front edges are raised so that your screen is protected. The double wall construction provides compression when your gear hits the ground. The bottom is fully enclosed to provide additional protection. The strap attachment makes it easy to add a wrist or neck strap to your phone. While the Moment Lens interface enables you to pop in a beautiful M-series lens. If you want photography and protection, this case is for you.
