All the classics are there. When you first switch it on there is a surprising and fun interface to pick your game. The games themselves are untouched - and some of the glorious glitches are still there. The unit itself makes sure it uses the same font (who would of thought the designers would be reusing this font to put "HDMI" on the back of the unit).
The device is great, my on criticism is the length of the cords including the controller. There very short which means you have to sit a lot closer to the tv which isn’t ideal.
It's great to be able to get the Classic NES after the first release sold out very quickly. The classic Nintendo games brings back the fun and memories from years ago. Only shortcoming for the product is that the controller cable is too short and does not allow you to sit further from the television.
Thirty (mostly) classic Nintendo games in high definition on a funky little system, what's not to love? OK, so people whinge about the short controller cable and lack of reset via the controller, these are minor gripes for the superb amount of gaming goodness here. Personally I could wish the third and arguably the best Castlevania game should be there with the first and second, as well as Life Force Salamander with Gradius, and the original Contra to go with Super C. Some classic games simply should not be separated from their classic series. The original Super Mario Bros 2 (from Japan) should be there along with the western version. The second Tecmo Bowl game is better than the first and should be here instead. While the second and third Ninja Gaiden games are missing, I can live with only the first one here. Same with the first and third Double Dragon games missing, as the second is clearly the best. Probably the one game missing that really should be there is Rad Racer. Overall, for the price, and I got it on sale for $60 on Amazon, you really can't complain. Remember, the future of gaming is in the past!
