If you love steam then look no further.

I have mixed feeling about this book not gonna lie.
While i love some steam in book i felt like i couldnt get away from it in this one. Literally in almost every chapter. Like damn.
The plot of this book has so much going for it and can be explored alot more in my opinion. I would have like a bit more mystery as to what they are. I feel like she really only questioned the mystery of what they were hiding maybe twice? So alot more of that would have been welcome.
I almost DNF’d this book a couple times simply because of the heroine. Its a pet peeve when a character is so indecisive, hot and cold and simply not taking in what the other characters are telling her. I felt like there was no real development or growth from her until the “full moon” so she was very frustration to follow before that. Afterwards she was more tolerable but only slightly.
There could have been a lot more background explanation as to what and who they are, their purpose, why things are the way they are. There wasnt much of a backstory to anything either. Eg why she changed then and not when she hit maturity or something. Like it just seemed completely random.
I also feel like the smut really took away from the plot in general i had high hopes for this book because i love shifter books and the authors take on werewolves in this was really interesting and different to what ive read before so i really enjoyed that, but i would have also preferred more of it.
All in all the plot was good could use a bit more detailing and expansion. I will give the other books a go because im intrigued and hoping theres more than smut in the next ones and hopefully more development all round.
