Keep this as a family only ‘diary’ of Mum and Dad.

I’v been reading about this subject all year as I have a Jewish son in law and a German husband of 46 years. Therefore, I find a lot still to be learned . Every book I’v read so far, has been brilliantly written about such a tragic situation and story to be told. I am a great reader, and I would have to say that in adulthood, it was the hardest book I’ve ever ‘ploughed through’. Out of respect for the author I kept reading but it was a huge challenge. I couldn’t follow whom she was talking about most of the time and she must have mentioned at least a thousand names that were so irrelevant to her story. It went back and forward mostly commenting on her beloved studying, which transgressed decades and country’s in just several paragraphs. I would have thought this book would have been much more valuable to the author if she had just kept it as a ‘diary’ for family reference only. I don’t think I’ve read a worse publication for years. Sorry to the author, but we are asked to be truthful in our reviews, and I don’t like to write negatively about a subject that is paramount and so real still in the authors life. I’m very, very sad that this has been her life, as it has been in my family from both aspects.
