I love A highlander anything... ‘Tamed by the Highlander’ is the first book in the Kilts and Kisses series and it was awesome.
Una MacKay has no desire to ever get married but she finds herself in an arranged marriage with a man 10 years older than her and one she has never met... Lord Hamish Ballentyne has wanted Una from the moment he first saw her but now he must prove that he is the right fit for her and will be accepting of all her "differences".
Una lives in her books & she knows this marriage won’t have the love she yearns for. Hamish has other plans, though, and intends to love his wife with passion and all his soul, and demands nothing less from Una....
I loved that Una was such an independent woman and that she loved to read. I loved that she was feisty and her first scene with Hamish in the steam room was so awesome!!
Hamish was a great Scottish lord and he heated up any room he walked into. I loved that he wanted and accepted Una for her differences and knew about her ahead of time. I loved his directness and how he proved how much he wanted her.
There was so much chemistry between Una and Hamish and it was HOT!!!! I loved when Hamish presented Una with the book and how she read it to him and things got even hotter!!
This is a great quick read filled with lots of steam!!!
This is a great read. I have read all the Highlander books in this series and have enjoyed them all. I love the characters and the way all the books share little bits of each characters stories before you get to the next book. All happy endings. A great read guaranteed.
This had everything you expect from a Madison Faye novella – possessive alpha heroes, feisty heroines, and lots of graphic, hot scenes. But this was a little different than your usual Madison novella, because it had a historical twist on it.
Una MacKay is being married off to Scottish Lord Hamish Ballentyne, and she’s not happy about it. She doesn’t know a single thing about this man, but her parents have made the match and she cannot refuse it. But that all changes when she lays eyes on her husband-to-be; he’s gorgeous in every way and she gets lost in his dark, fiery gaze. She doesn’t refuse him when he suggests they get to know each other intimately right before the wedding, and she’s perfectly happy to stay in his bed.
Until the castle is invaded, and Hamish finds himself needing to defend not on his castle and the people in it, but the woman he’s already lost his heart to. Can he keep her safe from the marauding Vikings, or will he lose her before he’s ever really had a chance to keep her? Another great novella to get lost in when you want something naughty to read but don’t have time to spare with a longer novel.
Hamish is an alpha used to getting what he wants and Una has her attitude, will they make it to the alter fast enough before they combust? They come together and have a few interferences, but will they get their HEA? 💋
