Swoon, Slater what a man, so dedicated, strong, forgiving, even though this story starts with Gabby and Dylan and their journey which for a young couple was just so intense, devastating and just a rollercoaster of emotions, I'm feeling so much after reading this my heart was in my throat at times. I couldn't imagine it ending any other way, So I was veey happy, this is a must read book. 5+🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🎢💖
When Forever Changes by Siobhan Davis is a standalone contemporary romance told in dual POV mostly from Gabby's perspective. Emotional and tragic, this book manages to cover so many sad occurrences in the lives of Gabby, Dylan and their close-knit group but never quite leaves you in despair and hopeless. There is a happy ending at the end of this angst-ridden story that is hard-earned and well-deserved.
Gabby has been in love with Dylan since she met him and they've been best friends ever since. Making it official when she was 15, they started the romantic part of their relationship and never looked back. But now, in their Sophomore year in college things aren't going as smoothly as either one of them planned and everything they had hoped for and expected from their lives blows up in their faces (figuratively).
For the sake of spoilers I am going to leave the synopsis of the story right there. It's a well-written, well-paced book. It is emotional and sad but also so very heartwarming and sexy. There is a happy-ending but it may cost you a few tears to get there. Enjoy!
This story will take you on a heart gripping journey from beginning to end. Everytime I read a Siobhan Davis novel, she takes the story to the next level and I cannot give it enough justice. I could write a review based on the story but I do not want to give anything away, as I feel you need to just pick the book up and start reading. Be prepared to have your heart ripped out, put back together again for it to be ripped out again. The story shows how strong one person can be, based around so much tragedy, to only make you stronger. HAPPY READING!!! I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of this book.
I found this very emotional but not gripping. Good KU read. Seemed to be full of filler with stuff that was unneeded to the plotline Slater forever. That man was the best. He deserves the award for most patient, lovable and heroic man. I LOVE him. I totally understood his reservations about being hurt as Belle really had done a number on him, TWICE. Liked Gabby/Belle for the first half, wanted to slap her upside the head for the second half. Dylan I felt sorry for and though sad circumstance, I am glad there was a valid reason for his behaviour and I loved how he came through with that video message.
This was a first read for me by this author and I enjoyed it. The story was a tad slow for me at the start but once I got into it I couldn't put it down. "We were carved from the same whole - destined to be togther forever. Until he changed" This story gave me so many emotions I cried, swooned, laughed and got hot and bothered. "Everyone knows that sometimes love just isn't enough" These characters were well written
This book was moving, heartbreaking and wonderful. I had such an ache in my chest reading this, but that’s truly the measure of a great writer. It took my heart apart and put it back together and was filled with many bittersweet moments. It’s not the first time I’ve finished a book by this author where I’ve just sat in silence and had to really think about what I’ve read. Definitely recommend reading it.
Oh my what can I say about this book. This gotta be my favourite standalone by Siobhan Davis so far!!
It's definitely one hell of an emotional rollercoaster reading When Forever Changes... Be prepared to have your hearts broken and mended through the book and have heaps of tissues prepared..... you're gonna need them!!
I voluntarily review an Advanced Readers Copy of this book!
