This is a great book for those who like well researched material with references included, as well as being written by someone with experience working in the prenatal nutrition sector. The book is honest about conventional wisdom and provides references and evidence for any times it disagrees with what we are usually told about eating during pregnancy. It is nice and factual, less alarmist and less "bubbly" than some other pregnancy books. It also contains sections on common pregnancy complaints for reference, not just healthy eating.
I cannot recommendation this book highly enough. Such a thoroughly researched and practical nutritional manual for all pregnant women, any woman preparing their body for pregnancy and for all practitioners that have the pleasure of working with women during preconception, pregnancy and postpartum. I will be using this in my practice for sure. Hannah Williams BSc, Naturopath & Nutritionist.
