Here’s the thing. Since I installed these in the living room I always choose a softer light in the evenings. I noticed everyone is sleeping better, then I read that harsh blue light and it’s the same as screens. Anyway that aside. Philips work ok, they can be a bit dodgy with Alexa, but it does work. I have heaps of these lights now, including the down lights in the kids hang out. The teenagers love that with a flick of a switch (press of an app) it’s a disco in there. The only place it’s kinda been a waste is the kids bedrooms, they are so used to using the switch that they turn them off and then the lights can’t be controlled via app.
My husband LOVES yellow hue lights in the house I don;t mind the yellow but sometimes prefer the bright white while working on certain projects. This bulb has solved the fight for us! Can adjust to what we want at the time.
Unlike some of the other smart gloves on the market, these new hue globe's fit within the old incandescent form factor. I tried TPLink globe's with an existing pendant and could not refit the shade due to the added length of their form factor. Hue fit perfectly though.
Really loving this, and I actually prefer it to the more expensive colour lights, as you can still get a range of natural light tones and I never really want a green or purple light on. We’ve put it in our baby’s room and it’s perfect both for a late night feeding session or mid day awake time.
