Really good story from the heart. Both Bob and James are characters and their life is told very well indeed. James gives a good insight into the life of a recovering addict and how he lost his invisibility when Bob joined his life. Reading this hopefully more people will take the time to establish eye contact, smile, say hello to street people, acknowledge them as people. Definitely recommend reading this book.

There are very few things in this life that move me to overwhelming tears of emotion. This book has! It reignites memoirs of my own tabby Tom, called Toby, who used to lick away my tears, as a child, whilst sheltering from abuse. This book proves the power of love, in overcoming all obstacles. A simply essential book to read!

Loved this book and read this quite moving story in one sitting. What an amazingly intelligent cat who transformed his "keepers" life. Not a well written or grammatically correct book. But you can easily excuse the author, knowing his circumstances. I will be looking forward to the 2nd book. Do yourself a favour read this moving story, it will give you a tear in the eye and a smile on your face

This book is very readable. It tells the story of a young man trapped in poverty and living on the streets of London. The story is told in first person and gives insight into how James came to be living on the street and the many day to day challenges he faces....then James is adopted by a stray, Bob who appears on his doorstep like a scruffy little angel and gives him the courage and inspiration to turn his life around.

I loved this story! The author describes a world that many people have not seen or experienced. His relationship with Bob, the cat, is extraordinary. The fact that the author was given and able to tell his story speaks volumes.

It was a joy to read how a cat brought meaning and purpose to man's life and helped give him the will to change his life. Bob is a very special cat and it was wonderful to meet him through this book.

I am a died in the wool cat lover and this story transfixed me. I identified how much a car can get under your skin and become an intrinsic part of your life. They are so intuitive, I have no doubt that Bob saved James' life. A lovely read 😄

What an amazing read that took me on a bit of a roller coaster with its ups and downs. It is such a positive story that shows love and companionship come in many forms and is always uplifting. What beautiful souls both Bob and James possess.
