My dietitian recently put me on a meal plan that is very keto-focused without being a full keto diet.
This book helped to explain what keto is, how to make the transition toward a keto lifestyle and includes a nifty list for not only stocking your fridge, freezer, and pantry, but also how to make a lot of those needed staples yourself.
I found the recipes to be diverse and interesting, and I can easily see myself making customised weekly meal plans just from this selection alone. The most helpful aspect of this recipe book is that none of the the recipes are set in stone and Pete actually encourages protein swapping to make them work for you. As someone that doesn’t eat seafood because of severe food allergies, a lot of the recipes in the seafood section can be easily modified to use a different meat. To me, this removes a lot of stress in trying to find things to try without having to fully experiment with swapping ingredients out.
For anyone that is a beginner in the keto diet or wants to learn more, I consider this a very nice introduction to ease you into things and highly recommend. I bought a hard copy book and didn’t read a digital version.
