Very easy to read and I couldn’t put the book down so I kept reading till 3am in the morning. It’s very well thought and the lessons are tought in a way that you can implement it in your life straight away. It makes you feel good to be good person in the business world and throw away the common concept that you have to be selfish to be successful. This book just confirm my beliefs that good people come a long way and that Karma is real. (disclaimer: this book does not associate itself with any religion or belief system)
I read this book based on a personal recommendation and I was not disappointed. If you have read a number of self help style books you will most likely have familiarized yourself with most of the principles in this book however I found the presentation and the relatively simplistic nature of this book combined with a fairly enticing storyteller approach to grab my attention from beginning to end - covering the material in a single session and feeling keen to see the principles in action.
I would recommend the book to anyone who is wanting to better themselves and their relationships but remind any reader that knowledge without action is really no better than ignorance.
The Go-Giver is a brilliant depiction of a powerful life principle. It is inspirational, leading the reader to want to try it out. Some might call it simplistic, but if it works then use it. I personally believe this should be required reading for every high-school student. It should be discussed in class and the students assigned a project to demonstrate its worth. Apart from that, it is a great reminder to anyone involved in sales and customer service.
I've always believed that happiness in life hinges on how much you give but I have never believed it could lead to success. Now I can see why I've always struggled with money and I have actionable steps to turn my life around. Thank you!
This book really makes you think about the way you do business. The key message being that good values translate to good business and a good life. The more people take this approach to their work, the better off we will all be. Highly recommended.
