About Residential Express Delivery

When you choose Residential Express Delivery, items are delivered on the same day you place your order, if you order before the cut-off time, which is displayed on the product detail page, and at checkout.

What does Residential Express Delivery cost?

Residential Express Delivery is charged at a cost of $9.99 per shipment for Prime members and at $12.99 per shipment for non-Prime members. If you choose to "ship as soon as items become available", and other items in your order aren't available yet, your order might be split into multiple shipments. This would mean you'd pay the relevant amount for each shipment with Residential Express Delivery.

Where is Residential Express Delivery Available to?

Residential Express Delivery is currently available to postcodes in Metro Sydney and Melbourne.

Note: Residential Express Delivery is not available for deliveries to Post Offices, Pickup Points or Business Addresses, as deliveries are made between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM (AEST) Monday through Friday.

Which items are eligible for Residential Express Delivery:

For any eligible item, on the product detail page, you'll see a message to order it by a certain time to get it today (or tomorrow, if you've ordered it after the cut-off time).

You'll also see the option to choose Residential Express Delivery at checkout.

In some cases, you can only order a certain quantity of an item for Residential Express Delivery, because multiple units may not be available locally. If this is the case, the option to choose Residential Express Delivery will disappear if you increase the quantity of the item.

When are Residential Express deliveries made?

Eligible orders are delivered between 6:00 PM and 9:00 PM (AEST) from Monday to Friday (excluding holidays).

If there's no-one at home when the delivery attempt is made, and there is no safe place for the carrier to leave your package, delivery will automatically be attempted again the next day (excluding weekends and holidays).

If the second delivery attempt is not successful, the item will be returned to Amazon AU and once received by us a refund will be issued to your original payment method.

Note: Orders placed after the cut-off time, on weekends or on holidays will be delivered on the next working day.

Limitation of Liability

In the event that an order for which you have paid Residential Express Delivery fees is not attempted for delivery on the same day (or the next working day in case of orders made after the cut-off time, on a weekend, or holiday), your only remedy will be a refund of the Residential Express Delivery fees paid for the order. To request this refund, please contact us. Amazon.com.au will not be liable for any other loss or damage, including without limitation any consequential loss or damage (for example, should you purchase the products at a higher price from another retailer) arising out of or in connection with the fact that a Residential Express Delivery was not delivered or was not delivered on time. This limitation of liability applies in addition to any provision set out in Amazon.com.au's Conditions of Use and Sale.
