Return Items You Ordered

You can return many items sold on Amazon AU. When you return an item, you may see different return options depending on the seller, item, or reason for return.

Note: If you need to print your return label, you can do this by going to Manage returns.

To return an item you ordered:

  1. Go to Your Orders.
  2. Find the order you want to return, and click Return items.


    • If you are returning an item sold and fulfilled by a third-party seller, the button may be labelled Return or replace items. Click the Return or replace items button.
    • If you don't see the order you're looking for, use the Search all orders button on the Your Orders page to search for the order you want to return.

  3. Select the items you want to return.
  4. Enter the quantity of items, choose a response from the Why are you returning this menu, and then add any additional information in the Comments box.
  5. Click Continue, and do one of the following:
    • If the item was sold and/or fulfilled by Amazon AU, select your return option.
    • If the item was sold and fulfilled by a third-party seller, click Submit for Approval.

    Note: Some sellers may need to review your return request. After the seller reviews the request, they'll provide a label or instructions on how to return your items. If you don't receive a response within two business days, you can submit an A-to-z Guarantee claim. For more information, go to About A-to-z Guarantee.

  6. Select your preferred return method.
  7. Print your label and return authorisation. If you don't have a printer when you're completing your return, you can print later (we'll e-mail you a link to your label) or you can have someone else print your label for you.
  8. Put the return authorisation inside of your package and attach the label to the outside.


  • If you return items in which you've saved personal information, such as laptops, cameras or other electronic devices, you must erase this information completely before sending the product back to us.
  • When you return an item, your eligibility for a refund and how your refund is issued, may differ based on a number of factors, including how long you have had the item, how the item was purchased and the reason for the return. For more information, go to About Refunds.
