Unless stated otherwise, if you are returning an item purchased as part of a bundle (including an Amazon Device), any discount will be allocated proportionally among all the items in the bundle, and your refund will equal the amount you paid for the item. All Amazon Devices and accessories that are returned and for which a refund or replacement is given will become the property of Amazon upon receipt by Amazon.
If you purchased an Amazon Device or accompanying accessory from a third-party retailer (not on amazon.com.au), returns are subject to the retailer’s return policies. Please contact the retailer for details.
Returning Kindle Books
Books you purchase from the Kindle Store are eligible for return and refund if we receive your request within seven days of the date of purchase. Once a refund is issued, you'll no longer have access to the book. To request a refund and return content, visit Manage Your Content and Devices, select the Actions button next to the title you'd like to return, and select Return for refund, or contact customer service.
Returning Amazon Devices purchased from Amazon.com.au
If you purchased an Amazon Device directly from Amazon.com.au and you have changed your mind about it, you can return it for a full refund within 30 days of the day you received it as long as it's in new condition and the return is in accordance with our return policy.

Note about pre-paid mailing labels and shipping cost refunds: Return shipping costs are only reimbursed if the return is due to Amazon error. If a pre-paid label is not convenient in your location, indicate the cost of shipping you paid with your return (either on the packing slip inside of the box or written on the return label outside of the box). You may be reimbursed for your shipping costs according to the Amazon.com.au Refund Policies.
Note about returning a device from outside the U.S: Kindle e-reader and Fire tablet batteries are considered "Small Lithium Batteries in Equipment" under international regulations and when shipped individually do not require any special labeling or documentation.
