Disabling Two-Step Verification

Here's how to disable Amazon's Two-Step Verification, a feature that requires you to enter a unique security code in addition to your password on computers and devices that you haven't designated as trusted.

Note: If you have an Amazon AU Seller Account and an amazon.com.au customer account registered with the same email ID or mobile number, disabling Two-Step Verification may also disable your access to your seller account. To retain access to your seller account in these circumstances, do not disable Two-Step Verification. Alternatively, ensure that your seller account and amazon.com.au customer account use a different email ID or mobile number.

To disable Two-Step Verification:

  1. Go toYour Account and select Login & Security Settings.
  2. Click Edit in the Advanced Security Settings.
  3. Click Disable Two-Step Verification and you will be prompted for the security code.
  4. Enter the code that was sent to your phone number or generated through an authenticator app and click Verify code.
