When you choose Same-Day (Evening Delivery), we'll deliver items on the day you place your order if you order before the cut-off time, which is displayed on the product detail page, and at checkout.
Same Day/Express Delivery (home only) is currently available to select postcodes in metro Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
If you order eligible items before the cut-off time, which is displayed on the product detail page and at the checkout, and choose “Same Day at Home” delivery, your order will be delivered to your home address between 6 PM to 9 PM on the same day. The option will only be available if you're ordering eligible items before the cut-off time, to an eligible area.
Note: Post Offices, Pickup Locations and Business addresses are not eligible for Same Day or Express Delivery, as deliveries are made between 6 PM and 9 PM Monday to Friday.
Orders placed after the cut-off time, on weekends or on holidays, will be delivered on the next working day (between 6 PM and 9 PM). We call this “Express Delivery (home only)”.

If you choose to "deliver as soon as items become available" and other items in your order aren't available yet, your order might be split into multiple deliveries. This would mean you'd pay the relevant amount for each delivery with Same Day or Express Delivery (home only).
If there's nobody at home when the delivery attempt is made, and there is no safe place for the carrier to leave your package, delivery will automatically be attempted again the next day (excluding weekends and holidays).
If you've requested delivery to a business address, post office box or a Pickup point, the delivery will be rejected and returned to Amazon, as these addresses are not eligible for Same Day/Express Delivery.
If the second delivery attempt is not successful, the item will be returned to Amazon AU and once received by us, a refund will be issued to your original payment method.
For any eligible item, on the product detail page, you'll see either:
Depending on the time of your order, you'll see either the option to choose Same Day Delivery (home only) or Express Delivery (home only) at checkout.
In some cases, you can only order a certain quantity of an item for Same Day/Express Delivery (home only), because multiple units may not be available locally. If this is the case, the option to choose these delivery options will disappear if you increase the quantity of the item.
If there is no delivery attempt on an order that I paid for Same Day Delivery fees for – on the Same Day (or next working day in case of orders made after the cut-off time, on a weekend or holiday):
Amazon only offers a refund of the Same Day/Express Delivery (home only) fees paid for the order. To request this refund, please contact us.
To the extent permitted by law, Amazon.com.au will not be liable for any other loss or damage, including without limitation any consequential loss or damage (for example, should you purchase the products at a higher price from another retailer) arising out of or in connection with the fact that a Same Day at Home/Express Delivery was not delivered or was not delivered on time. This limitation of liability applies in addition to any provision set out in Amazon.com.au's Conditions of Use and Sale.
Nothing in these conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any non-excludable right or remedy you have under law including the Australian Consumer Law. Any disclaimer, exclusion or limitation as provided for in these conditions applies to the full extent permitted by law and subject to any non-excludable right or remedy.
