A mixed bag of troupes here. We have best friends to lovers, a love triangle and a marriage of convenience.
So it really keeps you on your toes with everything that is going on.
I really liked Kent, even though he was an entitled playboy. But it shows that behind every successful man is an amazing woman, and he wouldn’t have got where he ended up without Beth, who encouraged him to be more, who saw something in him that he couldn’t, who gave him the courage to step out of his comfort zone and succeed.
Kent was also super sweet, he went out his way to do sweet things for Beth, who took quite a while to realise that she was falling for her best friend, who accepted her and her past without question.
Beth is a strong, determined woman, who has struggled on her own for some time, who is drowning in a debt that is not hers. All she wants is a fresh start, but her past just won’t leave her alone. Beth never gives up and is still able to see the good in others despite her past.
Would seriously recommend this book. Enjoy, I’m off to read the next one.
