I bake a loaf of fresh bread most evenings (look up the book "Artisan Bread in 5 Minutes per Day"), ready for the next day's breakfast, lunch an dinner. After baking, I let it completely cool on a rack, and then put it into this bread bag. Next morning, its perfect - crunchy crust, soft interior. Even after you cut the loaf and store in the bag, the cut end stays soft. Keeps bread fresh and stops any vermin from getting to it. Much better than a plastic bag which make the whole loaf, including crust, go soft. My other use for this bag is transport. Instead of the traditional wine, I often take a freshly baked loaf to dinner parties, picnics and other functions. This bread bag makes it easy to transport because of the rolled up end closes up to form a carry handle. Easy to clean (just invert and shake out crumbs) and stores very small when not in use. Love it!
