When the story you read ends on a cliffhanger like this one does, then you know you have definitely been Aleatha'd!!!! When it comes to writing hot, sexy, gripping, suspenseful drama, Aleatha Romig does it with absolute style and panache ... and more than likely with an evil grin on her face.

SPARK is the first instalment in Aleatha's new trilogy WEB OF DESIRE. This is Patrick Kelly's story, the boy from "the gutters" who rose to become the man who "lives in a glass castle." He is only one of three men who Sterling Sparrow trusts with all his secrets. But Patrick ha a secret of his own ... Madeline Miller, a woman from his past who continues to haunt him. Theirs is a relationship that will test Patrick's loyalty, emotions and his libido. Madeline, too, has a secret, one that caould put both her and Patrick's lives in danger.

SPARK is a web of intricate puzzles, hidden clues, mysterious characters, twists and turns, raw passion and secrets that are yet to be answered. Aleatha brilliantly builds the drama as the players are assembled, yet she doesn't allow her readers a moment to breathe easy. This is a fast-paced story that had me sitting on the edge of my seat constantly.

The two previous series, WEB OF SIN and TANGLED WEB, introduced the world of the Sparrows and all the drama and deadly circumstances that went along with it. However WEB OF DESIRE is, by the look of it, going to take everything that one step further. Going by SPARK, Aleatha is definitely insinuating things are going to get even more devious ... evil beyond imagination. This is going to be one HUGE emotionally draining ride.

As I said ... that cliffhanger really was a WTF moment. My mouth is still on the floor. Genius, pure genius.

Now to wait for the next instalment ... FLAME.

This series is definitely going to be in my top reads for 2020.
