Generally well written, Empathic and emotive descriptions of terrible bullying at school and abuse at home that turns a boy into a mass murderer. So So Police work and general plot and tension.. Could have been an ok book.
What really spoilt the whole book and the reason for 1 star is - towards the end the Author excuses the bullying by writing "its kids stuff. Peer pressure is very powerful. We try our best to fit in, often not seeing who we upset to do just that".
This may apply to some minor name calling, certainly not the extreme physical bullying described in this book by 12 + year olds for years.
Shocked and disappointed that an adult would think this way
