If you're an Australian, like me, you'll cringe every time the author pens a dialog for one of his Australian characters. his command of the our vernacular seems to have come from a particularly poor 40s war movie. Once I got past that, it was a very entertaining read and a promising start to a series.
The audible narration leaves a lot to be desired. It sounds like the reader tried to do it in one take, without bothering to pre read it. And once again the Ausy accent of the reader is piss poor and quite cringe worth. I won't comment on other accents.
