This book got to me in all the right ways! Jack is a widower who hasn't let go of his deceased wife, and in a round about any blames himself for her death. Margot is from the city, never seen a farm before in her life, and due to a series of unfortunate events now needs to get out of town until the heat and gossip settles down.
This is not a love at first sight book! If anything they hate each other, learn to tolerate each other and then give in to chemistry before any other feelings are even considered. Jack has to deal with not wanting to let go, and deliberately sabotages what he has with Margot. Now it's on him to determine if he can let go of his past, and whether Margot has it in her to forgive him for all the things he said when he broke her heart.
Really well written - I was completely drawn in, had to keep reading, and emotionally invested in the story. Absolutely loved it and highly recommend to anyone looking for a good romance with no love triangle and a HEA.
