‘Leadership development programs are often introduced during times of organisational change.’ True but without anchoring in mindfulness, one can observe again and again how these programs become watered down to the point where they can no longer be sustained. Back where they started! Dr King’s book highlights a slow but certain global move to changing the way we work with people and the way people work within organisations.
Individual mindfulness can make a difference in the workplace even if only a very few practice it. The impact on others is substantial with a reduction of stress and a refusal to allow stress to grow unreasonably. If this mindfulness starts with leaders, the filter down signals can change the workplace dramatically. Imagine the change in interaction between global leaders! We need this! Fascinating and informative book. Thank you Dr King
