I love this series, and this book is no exception. Nell continues to grow and develop in herself and her role as probationary special agent and her relationships to the other characters in very satisfying ways. The plot is diverse, gripping and moves quickly. My only small quibble (no spoilers) is that after re-reading it, I still don’t fully understand how it all comes together to explain the killings at the end in terms of the individual murders. There is kind of a blanket explanation but on second reading it still doesn’t quite make sense to me. However, I don’t really care because the story is so much fun and I enjoy Nell’s journey and personality so much. This series is definitely head and shoulders above most other books in this genre, and is actually targeted at an adult audience, which is hugely refreshing. Highly recommended.
