Customer Review

This series of books can best be described as crime lite. The villains are all easily recognized without any need for actual detecting and quickly disposed of without need to trouble the courts. The most disturbing for me as an outsider is the complete lack of morality represented for this presumably fictional location. The gun culture is shocking to me, the main female character has three weapons in her house all unsecured ( one behind the towels) and a 10 yr old has a gun pointed at his head while his mother is beaten. Do people really live like this? It is written as though it is no big deal.
The writing is slick and fast paced, the content left me troubled and worried for a society gone so horribly wrong.
