This book really touched me and provided depth and layers in the telling of the story. Single mum putting her personal life second to raise her daughter, shielding her from the poor behaviour of her disengaged father. An opportunity to find romance is hampered by her lack of confidence in her own attractiveness and her love interest's hidden background. Well told, a few surprises for the reader, some great passionate moments and beautifully revealing and often funny relationships between mothers and daughters, siblings, ageing parents and mates. Could not put this one down. Even better than the first in the series.
