Once again this is a cracker of a read from Keith Houghton. Right from the start it draws the reader in with a close affinity and likeness for the main character Maggie, a complicated and driven cop who needs to face errors of her past. As usual the twists and turns are there with this author, everytime I think I know what the story is going to deliver I am completely wrong and I love storylines that keep me guessing and challenge me. There certainly is an understanding as to why the killer has chosen the decisions they have and entwining the guilt Maggie has lived with. This book is one you just can't put down, greedily devouring it until the early hours of the morning. I hope we see more of Maggie! Would I recommend? Yes, highly.
