This is a refreshing over 40's story of loss, romance, love and all the trials and tribulations that go with it. I thought it was a very well written story and I really did enjoy reading it. The book covers sensitive issues of breast cancer that was very well dealt with.
Edie Williams is taking a much-needed break in Hawaii with her two grown-up children when she collides with a gorgeous hunk of a man that makes her heart skip a beat or two. I did like Edie but wished she would have had a bit more backbone. Tommy Carrigan, who was perfection and made me swoon just reading about him, just might be the answer to all Edie's prayers, but is he holding secrets close to his heart that could complicate things for both of them.
The characters were really well portrayed and the secondary characters also added immensely to the story. This is a delightful read and my only gripe would be it was slightly predictable in places and a little too "comfortable", I would have liked a little more explosive passion and angst along the way but still a recommended read to curl up on the sofa with
