I have been a fan of Allan Pease and his "Body Language" work for some time, but I did not seem to get the same impression from this book. It is a great simple book, marketed for people who have never ventured into the realm of self help, and are really starting from scratch. I would have loved to see more of a cross over from Allan's previous work into this book, that would have been a great connector and a great basis to build upon especially in understanding others as you try to understand yourself. The references to the function of the brain, and understanding its programming were interesting. I was also distracted by the random quotes littered throughout each chapter. If you have referred to other books and theorists over time, this may seem like it is a very base level for finding your "answer".
