l have just finished reading this novel. Highly recommended and a tribute to those who fought, died and against all odds, survived in those times and at Auschwitz. For those who found the novel 'tainted' by minor historical inaccuracies, all l can say is, 'Get a life.' It's a novel, not a PhD thesis. It is only your ego showing off that you know some historical trivia in a vain attempt to impress someone. The novel is well written and constructed, the characters emotionally engaging. For some it will be too much and will take them out of their comfort zone. Be thankful it is only a novel. The horrors of Auschwitz were far, far worse than any literary depiction could ever be.
