This is a wonderful Australian storyline that draws you in fro the very first page. Not only is it a great family saga but we also get a whole insight into the way Brumbies are treated the history of the breed the fact that one of my all time favourite childhood reads "the Silver Brumby" series is mentioned was just a nostalgic twist
Samantha Carmichael hasn't had an easy life even though she is so young her father was a absent dad and her mother was a strict disciplinarean that never emotionally supported her so she had a lonely single child upbringing. Imagine her surprise when her mother informs her that not only that she is adopted but that she is also a twin and her twin sister is seriously ill in hospital. So begins a whole new life for Samantha when she meets not only her sister Charlie but also her birth mother Mary When she takes over the care of their home Brumby's run in the lush Victorian alps she also meets the man that could be her HEA. Now she sees the life that she could have had but that actually belongs to her sister is there a permanent place for her in their lives. The writing in this book is so evocative you can almost smell the snow gums and hear the pounding of the brumbies hoofs.
I was given a copy of this book but this is true and honest review
