I read this book as a participant in an organisation requiring a more considerable change effort, Siobhan's focus on the three elements of Culture - Mental Maps, Roles, and Patterns was particularly enlightening, how people see and take up the right roles, the need to distinguish the dancers from the dance, the patterns form the behaviours and the part leaders play in the co-creation of them, determining how the business operates.

I would recommend this book to all middle managers/leaders who have a role to play in their company's culture change journey, as leaders on the front line as Siobhan states, 'Rather than trying to change people's personalities, work to reframe the way people think about and take up their roles in the change effort can accelerate the organisational change. Employees at all levels, must take up their part as change leaders'.
