Torvan was enroute to claim his Tribute Bride, a human woman named Trista whom he had felt a connection despite the distance between them. He was ready to leave when he was charged with high treason and his bride was foreit and taken into custody. There was a chance to escape before the trial and he took it and as a further incentive he grabbed his Tribute Bride as hostage to prevent them firing upon his ship. He swore to his bride that he was innocent, but could she believe him? This was a dramatic story of conspiracy, treason and fated mates. Trista was attracted to the Drexian Warrior who had kidnapped her, he was the same sort of "Bad Boy" that she usually fell for and regretted it later. Was this one any different, it was up to Torvan to prove his love and devotion but when he manages to save her life more than once she changes her mind. This series gets better and better as the Drexian Warriors find and marry their mates. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
