Rude, crude, violent and politically incorrect...and I absolutely loved every word of it! Casey portrayed beauty, loyalty, love and sacrifice, as well. What a gorgeous book! Set in Ireland, Dominic is such a well-written narrative. The author is obviously a down to earth writer and a natural story-teller and the plot has an authentic feel that I relate to. It is very funny, but with serious themes, as well. The characters are very well defined and developed and it is easy to empathise with each of them - main and secondary. Sharp-tongued, prickly Bronagh Murphy is a delight and dark, broody Dominic Slater has a presence that's hard to ignore. I'm not in the demographic for this book, but I enjoyed it so much that I immediately downloaded Alec and Kane. Thanks L A for your refreshing approach to writing.
