Customer Review

25 July 2016
Pulp, fantasy, and myth-making; excellent action scenes (Larry Corriea, so OF COURSE) tangled up with intriguing secret histories and towering characters, playing out across a hybrid of traditional (hence, Norse) fantasy, and Indian / South Asian influences, for a result that's got a lot more Conan than it has Bilbo Baggins.

The setting, story, pacing and action are all top-notch, but Correia's writing doesn't quite transition as smoothly to the fantasy genre, just in my humble opinion; it's just not quite as note-perfect as when he's writing urban fantasy or magical noire.
