Book one did not have enough of a plot to justify a story. It could have been summed up in one to one and a half pages. Rose was weak and did not elicit my sympathy. The story just seemed to end too abruptly and was not a satisfactory read. The second book had more of a story line and more interesting characters. The third was just an excuse for sex. There was no plot, just one night of sex that took up the whole book and then a page of what happened to them in the future. I was very disappointed in this set as Emily Larkin has previously written some good work. This is just pure rubbish and fixated on sex. I have no objection to a well written sex scene but when the sole focus of 3 books is on sex, I find it a major turn off. Georgette Heyer would be horrified! Please go back to writing historical romances with a good plot and leave the smut to those who can't write.
